Sewing machines, sergers, and coverstitch machines use motorized needles and thread to bind various fabrics. BeAM provides various thread colors for these machines, but you will need to provide your own fabric and notions.

All BeAM tool trainings contain an online module that must be completed before moving on to the practice project. Access the Laser Cutter module on the BeAM Canvas site here.

 

After you finish the online module, you must complete a practice project for that tool. Sewing requires a self-guided practice project, which means that you can work on the project independently at any point during BeAM’s open hours, no need to schedule a time.
