BeAM Open Hours and Operations
At this time, all trained UNC affiliates are welcome to enter the makerspaces during open hours, which are listed below. While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage you to make a reservation for the desktop embroidery machine, ShopBot CNC, laser cutters, industrial embroidery machine and vinyl cutter to help assure access. Make a reservation on one of those tools or areas using the button below.
Spring Operations and Closures:
- The Makerspaces will hold focused trainings beginning Thursday, January 9th. Sign up will be available on CoWorks.
- All Makerspaces will be closed on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
- All Makerspaces will reopen on Tuesday, January 21st for normal operations.
- All Makerspaces will be closed Monday, February 10th for the Well-Being Day.
- All Makerspaces will close at 5pm on Friday, March 7th and reopen Monday, March 17th for Spring Break.
- For the Well-Being Day on Thursday April 17th, all our Makerspaces will be closed.
- Spring Makerfest will be held on Monday April 28th – all Makerspaces will be closed.
